2026 Budget

The Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro adopted its budget for 2026 and its 2026-2035 Ten-Year Capital Expenditure Program (CEP) on November 26, 2025, during a special council sitting. Revenues for the borough in 2026 are estimated at $1,494,300, representing a 3% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the borough received a budget transfer of $27,948,700 from Ville de Montreal.

2026 Budget Highlights

For the year 2026, the borough will increase the local tax by 6%, making the rate $0.0706 per $100 of property assessment. This translates into a modest increase of 0.6% on the overall tax bill.


This increase will enable the Borough to maintain a diversified, high-quality service offering. We are presenting a balanced budget, the fruit of rigorous management adapted to the current economic context.

The operating budget for 2026 is $40,0M, compared with $38,8M in 2025, the slight increase is mainly due to higher payroll and contract costs resulting from provincial inflation. The borough will use $1,174,700 of its accumulated surplus to balance the budget.

69.9% of funding comes from central transfers, 23.5% from local service charges, 3.7% from local sources and 2.9% from surplus appropriation.

The borough continues their effort to improve and protect buildings, repair the road network, redevelop parks, and develop innovative recreational infrastructure. The investment budget for 2026 is set at $7,1 million.
