2027 Budget
The Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro adopted its budget for 2027 and its 2027-2036 Ten-Year Capital Expenditure Program (CEP) on October 6, 2026, during a special council sitting. Revenues for the Borough in 2027 are estimated at $2,260,000 representing a 4.9% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the Borough received a budget transfer of $32,685,100 from Ville de Montréal.
2027 Budget Highlights
For the year 2027, the Borough will increase the local tax by 8%, making the rate $0.0706 per $100 of property assessment. This translates into a modest increase of 0.8% on the overall tax bill.
This increase will enable the Borough to maintain a diversified, high-quality service offering. We are presenting a balanced budget, the fruit of rigorous management adapted to the current economic context.
The operating budget for 2027 is $71.0M, compared with $40.0M in 2026, this increase is primarily due to the opening of the Pierrefonds-Roxboro aquatic center. The borough will use $948,300 of its accumulated surplus to balance the budget.
71% of funding comes from central transfers, 22% from local service charges, 4.9% from local sources and 2.1% from surplus appropriation.
The Borough continues their effort to improve and protect buildings, repair the road network, redevelop parks, and develop innovative recreational infrastructure. The investment budget for 2027 is set at $7.1M.
