Do you work in the real estate industry? Do you have ideas for sustainable projects to improve Montréal and want to make them a reality? Form multidisciplinary teams and present your project to bring the vacant lot located at 150 Rue de Louvain Ouest to life.

A 45,000-square-metre site in the heart of Ahuntsic-Cartierville

A lot located at 150 Rue de Louvain Ouest in the Chabanel neighbourhood is this edition’s development project. Montréal wants to see a mixed-use project that is humane, inclusive and affordable. The project must align with the city’s urban development vision.

Proximity neighbourhoods

Proximity neighbourhoods are the theme of the third edition of Reinventing Montréal. Imagine a diverse, zero-carbon, sustainable and resilient project on this lot.

The site will become a vibrant neighbourhood, bringing together residential buildings, shops, smaller-scale industrial buildings and public spaces, all near bike paths and public transportation.

Selection of 4 finalist teams

In the fall of 2025, multidisciplinary teams made up of local and international architects, developers, environmental experts, financial partners, innovators and artists submitted their expression of interest in developing a project to enhance the site.
