The work, which should take about 3 years, will start in summer 2022.

Where?

Between Boulevard Pierre-Bernard and Avenue Fletcher

What?

Redesign work:

• Reconstruction of the roadway and sidewalks
• Addition of drainage sidewalk projections (flowerbeds added to the sidewalk) at certain intersections
• Improvements to lighting
• Replacement of traffic lights

Underground infrastructure work:

• Pipe repair for the sewer- and water-line networks
• Replacement of lead water-service entries

Why?

Transformation of Rue Hochelaga to make it more pleasant setting will promote pedestrian mobility and improve quality of life.

Better quality life due to:

• More efficient and reliable sewer and drinking water networks
• Safer intersections
• A pleasant environment, with flowers and improved lighting

The project includes different types of work. Planning will reduce circulation obstacles, impacts on citizens as well as the duration and cost of work.
