RelatedUrban Planning

Urban projects shape the face of Montréal and reflect an ambitious vision for the future. Learn how these initiatives will help improve quality of life for residents.

Innovation through best planning practices

The planning and implementing of strategic urban projects are based on the city’s major orientations and innovation. The goal is to create neighbourhoods that are resilient, inclusive and complete. Our role is to:

  • Create coherent, comprehensive visions for development of the areas adjacent to the major projects
  • Define priority actions
  • Coordinate operations required for completion
  • Support developers and the city’s many partners

Major projects for a dynamic metropolis

These major urban projects have been subject to detailed planning. They will change the appearance of neighbourhoods, greatly improve quality of life for citizens and position Montréal as one of North America’s greatest cities.
