The program has three categories:

Category 1: High visibility murals

Murals from organizations associated with a mural artist. They enjoy high visibility from public spaces. 

Category 2: Neighbourhood murals

Local residents, businesses, organizations and local organizations participate in creating the mural.

Category 3: Murals within the city’s public art collection

One mural will be created by artists on a wall owned by the city. The mural will then become an integral part of the collection of municipal public works of art.
