Hundreds of activities will be presented free of charge across the city this fall, from shows in Maisons de la culture arts centres to workshops in libraries and museums outings.

More than 500 shows presented free of charge (or at a low cost) await you through the city’s Maisons de la culture arts centres. Want to attend a concert, a family show, or a film: Maisons de la culture arts centres offer a little something for everyone looking for a pleasant outing in a welcoming venue.

Borrow objects and sign up for workshops in libraries

Some 1,500 workshops for all tastes and ages will be offered this fall. Please make your choices.

The city’s libraries offer much more than book loans. Residents can also borrow outdoor recreation equipment.

Discover the MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises 

There are currently 4 exhibitions where you can explore Montréal and its history from different perspectives.

Other upcoming events:

  • “Soirée décalée — Halloween au MEM,” October 28. Take part in an immersive mystery inspired by real Montréal stories and try to solve a mysterious crime that took place in a legendary dive bar.
  • “Trésors de la collection Wings,” November 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. Go behind the scenes of this collection through a conversation about previously unseen archives, photographs, home movies, and objects steeped in history.
  • “Soirée décalée – Friperie éphémère,” November 26. The MEM will become a massive thrift store for one evening. Explore unique finds at this event inspired by the “Le cucitrici” exhibition and the world of fashion in Montréal.
