Do you have a municipal library card and want to enjoy the great outdoors? Some libraries lend out equipment such as binoculars, kites, hiking carriers, pedometers, balance bikes, sledges, snowshoes, walking poles and ice cleats.

Where and how you can borrow

To find out which libraries offer this service and the list of equipment available, see the Nelligan catalogue (in French).

Children under the age of 14 who would like to borrow materials must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the library.

Don’t have a library card? You can become a member remotely.

Duration of your loan

Equipment is loaned for 7 consecutive days. The loan is not renewable.

Returning equipment

  • You must return the equipment to the library counter where you borrowed it.
  • The equipment must be returned in good condition, cleaned and dried, in its protective case and with all accessories, if applicable.

This service is offered by circonflexe (in French), a program coordinated by Sport et Loisir de l’île de Montréal (in French) and made possible with support from the Ministère de l’Éducation.
