With Gabrielle Ouellette-Turp

The midterm elections occupy a central place in American political life. This conference offers a better understanding of how they work, the issues surrounding them and their influence on the presidency, Congress and the major political orientations of the United States. An opportunity to demystify an election that is often misunderstood, but with major consequences. 

Gabrielle Turp is a political scientist, college teacher and research assistant at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). She holds a master’s degree in political science and a Ph.D. in political science at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she is interested in American political institutions, elections, and the politicization of the judiciary. A speaker to libraries, universities, and organizations, she is committed to making U.S. politics accessible to the general public through clear, rigorous, and up-to-date analysis.
