Date

Attend a free conference on women in the Patriote rebellions of 1837-1838 at the Vieux-Saint-Laurent library!

Description

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Canadian people sought to win their rights and protect his freedoms. Even the ladies are investing in the cause, going so far as to resist actively to despotism! With fifteen years of in-depth research and the publication of several books on the history of Quebec under the British Empire (1760-1867), Anne-Marie Sicotte drew the portrait of these fighters of yesteryear, who have campaigned, protested, loved… and suffered much in the passage of the Patriot Rebellions of 1837 and 1838.
