Renew or replace your Accès Montréal card

If you wish to renew your Accès Montréal card if it is expired or about to expire, or if you want to replace it if it is lost or stolen, learn more about what you need to do.

Replacing a lost or stolen Accès Montréal card

You can apply for a new card at a point of sale or by writing to [email protected]. The replacement card is free of charge for valid cards.

Children under the age of 4: generally enjoy activities free of charge (check with Accès Montréal partners).

Fees may apply for taking photos.

A card is valid for one year.

Required documents

You need to provide a photo only if you are replacing your card and if the photo was taken more than 3 years ago.

You need to provide your Accès Montréal card number and one proof of residence dated within the last 12 months, from the following documents:

  • Québec driver’s license
  • School or municipal tax account
  • Monthly statement from a credit or financial institution
  • Notice of tax assessment or T4 slip
  • We accept any official document dated within the last three months

Communication channels

Fill out the online form.

You will receive a sticker by postal mail within weeks of your application being processed. The invoice with the temporary card valid for a period of 6 months is sent as soon as processing is complete. It may take 3 to 15 working days for your application to be processed and for you to receive the bill by email.

Payment method accepted: Credit card (MasterCard, Visa)

Renewing your card: Go to an Accès Montréal office with your old card.

  • Renewal : a renewal sticker will be put on your card that same day.

Lost or stolen card: Go to an Accès Montréal office.

For files created more than 4 years ago, a new photo must be taken or supplied.

  • For a replacement, if the lost or stolen card was still valid, a temporary card will be issued free of charge until your new card is received by post.
  • If the lost or stolen card has expired or will expire in less than 3 months, the renewal must be made before the reprint request.

Send a cheque for the correct amount and a letter containing the card number, card name and address.

You will receive a sticker by postal mail within eight weeks of renewing.
