Get an Accès Montréal card

If you want to benefit from special rates on cultural, sports and recreation activities in Montréal, find out how to obtain an Accès Montréal card.

The card is available to residents of the island of Montréaland anyone who owns residential, commercial or industrial property in the city.

You can purchase an Accès Montréal card for all people who live at the same address as you. You must provide photo ID and a photo for each cardholder, along with one proof of address. Your proof of address must be less than one year old, and is not required for children ages 12 and under.

Owners of a building or lot in Montréal must provide proof of address for their property, such as their most recent municipal or school tax account.

Children under the age of 4 can generally enjoy activities free of charge (check with Accès Montréal partners).

A card is valid for one year.

Photo service

Most Accès Montréal offices offer photo service. Fees ranging from $2.50 to $6 may apply for each photo.

Required documents

You will need to submit with your application:

One of the following documents, as ID:

  • Québec driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Québec health insurance card
  • Student card with photo
  • Permanent resident card
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of identity and residence issued by Doctors of the World

One of the following documents, as proof of address:

  • School or municipal tax account
  • Bill from a public utility (Hydro-Québec, telephone or other) less than 3 months old
  • Monthly statement from a credit or financial institution
  • Notice of assessment from Revenu Québec or the Canada Revenue Agency
  • Account statement (educational fees) or report card from an educational institution
  • Proof of identity and residence issued by Doctors of the World
  • Québec driver’s license

Get a card

You will receive your new card by mail within eight weeks of signing up. The transaction receipt can be used as a temporary card for six months. It may take ten working days for your application to be processed and for you to receive your bill by email.

Be sure that you have a digital copy of your proof of address (one per application) along with a digital copy of your photo ID and a digital photo for each cardholder in the application.

Visit one of our Accès Montréal offices and bring proof of residence, photo ID and a photo for each new cardholder with you.

You will receive a temporary card. You can use it until you receive your Accès Montréal card in the mail six months later.
