Impacted areas

Cyclists will be taking part in a series of 13 events across various city streets, mainly located in 7 boroughs and 1 related municipality, as follows: Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Plateau-Mont-Royal, Le Sud-Ouest, Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Outremont, Verdun, Ville-Marie and Westmount.

Street closures

Traffic and parking will be significantly impacted.

Routes

Routes will vary daily, depending on the event. Fences will be installed along the routes, starting at 7 a.m. every day. Following every event, in the early evening hours, streets will be reopened for vehicular traffic, with the exception of the Championship’s main site.

Bonjour Montréal Fan Village

The main site will be located at the foot of Mount Royal, on Avenue du Parc, between Avenue des Pins and Avenue du Mont-Royal. This strategic hub is where the start and finish lines of every race will be located. It will also be home to the Bonjour Montréal Fan Village. Due to its importance, the area will be closed to vehicular traffic from September 5 to October 4, including the time required to set up and dismantle the site.

Parking

Certain boroughs offer parking alternatives for closed areas.

Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce

From September 22 to September 28

Resident-only parking sticker holders for zones 5 and 6 will be allowed to park in any of the borough’s residents-only street parking spots.

From September 23 to September 27

The following street segments will be configured for two-way traffic:

• Avenue Glencoe, between Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Avenue Willowdale
• Avenue Willowdale, between Avenue Glencoe and Avenue Vincent-D’Indy.

Plateau-Mont-Royal

From September 19 to September 22

• Residents-only street parking sticker holders for zones 10, 26, 29 and 30 will be allowed to park in one of the borough’s 20 residents-only street parking zones.
• Parking restrictions related to street-cleaning will be lifted for the area bounded by and including the following streets: Rue Hutchison, Boulevard Saint-Joseph, Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Rue Rachel, Rue Saint-Hubert, Rue Sherbrooke, Rue University, Avenue des Pins Ouest, Avenue du Parc.

From September 23 to September 27

• Residents-only street parking ticker holders for zones 26, 29 and 30 will be allowed to park in one of the borough’s 20 resident parking zones.
• Parking restrictions related to street-cleaning will be lifted for the area bounded by and including the following streets: Rue Hutchison, Boulevard Saint-Joseph, Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Rue Sherbrooke, Rue University, Avenue des Pins Ouest, Avenue Du Parc.

Outremont

From September 23 to September 27

• Restrictions related to street maintenance will be lifted for the following streets:

  • Avenue Bloomfield, between Avenue Laurier Ouest and Avenue Fairmount Ouest

  • Avenue de l’Épée, between Boulevard Saint-Joseph and Avenue Fairmount Ouest

  • Avenue Querbes, between Boulevard Saint-Joseph and Avenue Fairmount Ouest

  • Avenue Durocher, between Avenue Laurier Ouest and Avenue Fairmount Ouest.

• Thirteen free parking spaces will be available for 45-minute periods allowing for local shopping in stores located on the streets perpendicular to Avenue Laurier Ouest.

• Pricing will be maintained in the four parking lots located Avenue Laurier Ouest, but parking will be reserved exclusively for local shopping.

• Parking restrictions related to street-cleaning, as well as 2-hour parking limits will be lifted in two areas, and resident parking ticket holders for Avenue Vincent-d’Indy (zone 1) and Avenue Willowdale (zone 3) will be allowed to park in the other two zones.

  These two areas are bounded by and include the following streets:

  • Zone 1: Rue Lajoie, Rue McEachranm, Rue Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Robert

  • Zone 2: Rue Pagnuelo, Rue Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Mont-Royal.

Ville-Marie

From September 19 to September 27

• Authorization for residents-only street parking sticker holders to use any residents-only street parking space in the borough.
• Parking restrictions related to street-cleaning will be lifted.
• Parking time restrictions limiting parking durations to 2 hours will be lifted.
