Being a member of the CCU is an opportunity to get involved in your community, contribute to improving your living environment and take part in its development. The CCU studies and recommends to borough council urban planning and land use policies as well as decisions, in accordance with current bylaws.

Details of commitment

• Attend meetings according to the CCU schedule: meetings are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month, 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
• Members are not paid. This is a volunteer position. 
• Serve on the committee for a two-year term, renewable by council resolution

Required profile

• Reside in the borough of Lachine
• Assets: knowledge of or keen interest in urban planning, architecture, heritage, design or development
