Pay your commercial development corporation contribution

Are you a member of a commercial development corporation (SDC)? You must pay your annual contribution to be able to vote during assemblies. Find out how.

Billing

Montréal bills, collects and transfers annual contributions.

Bills are sent at the beginning of the year to occupants running a business on January 1. If business operations end during the year, no reimbursement is possible.

If a business joins an SDC after January 1, no contribution is payable for that year. Payment will be required beginning in the following year.

Payments

If the contribution is less than $300, the occupant on January 1 must make a single payment.

If the contribution is $300 or more, the contribution can be made in 2 payments.

Supplementary fees may apply, including in the following situations:

  • Cheque returned (insufficient funds in the account)
  • Request for return of a cheque sent
  • Issuance of a reimbursement cheque for payment of more than the invoiced amount

When making a payment, provide the reference number included on the invoice, without hyphens.

In person

Bring the detachable portion of your bill and your payment to any Accès Montréal office.

You can also pay your account at the counter or banking machine of your financial institution.

By mail

Send us your payment and the detachable stub of your bill. Fill in the box to indicate the amount of your payment.

Accepted methods of payment in Canadian dollars:

  • Cheque made out to Ville de Montréal, drawn on a Canadian financial institution
  • Postal money order made out to the Ville de Montréal
