Issues related to Canada geese
As Canada geese are increasingly numerous and produce nearly 1 kg of feces per day, they can cause significant problems.

Reduced disturbances
To limit the negative impacts of Canada geese in parks, several solutions have been developed:
- Feeding wild birds is prohibited
- Reducing short turf areas where Canada geese feed by adapting landscaping and maintenance practices
- Using trained dogs or remote-controlled devices to scare geese away
- Installing temporary nets to block access from bodies of water
- Regularly clean manure, especially on trails and in playgrounds
