To pick up your pet at the Proanima pet service centre, you must:

  • Provide proof that the cat or dog is yours and owned by you, such as a purchase invoice, veterinarian invoice, a photo of your pet’s tag or an invoice for your pet’s tag.
  • Pay the daily costs of your pet’s accommodation as well as the costs of spaying/neutering, vaccination and/or implantation of a microchip, if applicable.

Lost pet notice

If your pet is not in one of the local shelters, someone may be temporarily sheltering your pet. That’s why it’s important to post a sign with your cat or dog’s photo and your contact information on public bulletin boards in your neighbourhood.

Cancel your pet license

You then have 15 days to cancel your cat or dog license. If you find your pet 30 days or less after cancelling your license, you will be able to reactivate your pet free of charge.
