Ash tree treatment
After you applied, a city crew will visit you to assess the condition of your ash tree and will tie a ribbon around it:
Green ribbon
The ash tree will be treated by the end of August.
A dot at the base of the tree trunk will then confirm that the tree has been treated.
- Green dot: the ash tree was treated in an even year.
- Blue dot: the ash tree was treated in an odd year.
Red ribbon
The ash tree must be felled.
- Before having the tree felled by a contractor, apply for a felling permit.
- After the tree has been cut down, check your elibility for a subsidy.
