Underground Infrastructure

To ensure reliable drinking water and sewer services, SaintLaurent and the Ville de Montréal will carry out various projects throughout the year.

Rehabilitation of Water Main Pipes

Sidewalk and road reconstruction are included as part of these projects.

Municipal Facilities and Parks

  • Parc SaintLaurent: Redevelopment of playgrounds, aquatic facilities and the chalet, including the installation of a climbing wall and planting work. 
  • Parc AiméCaron: Playground and splash pad improvements, fountain rehabilitation, planting work and lighting upgrades. 
  • Parc Hartenstein: Tennis court resurfacing and lighting upgrades. 
  • Parc Beaulac: Basketball court resurfacing. 
  • Parc AlexisNihon: Development of a new dog park, including planting and new site furniture. 
  • Parc MarcelLaurin: Rehabilitation of the athletics track half‑moon and construction of new infrastructure, including a synthetic soccer field, a service building, a retention basin and two natural grass soccer fields. Planting and lighting upgrades are also planned. 
  • Parc PhilippeLaheurte: Lighting upgrades. 
  • Complexe sportif: Maintenance work on aquatic facilities during the summer period. Facilities will be closed from June to September 2026. 
  • Bibliothèque du Boisé: Upgrades to outdoor areas and inclusive urban layout, with work scheduled for fall 2026.

2025 Construction Highlights in Saint‑Laurent

In 2025, Saint‑Laurent and the Ville de Montréal completed numerous projects affecting more than 60 street segments. Work focused mainly on water and sewer rehabilitation (11 segments), roadway resurfacing (7 segments) and full street reconstruction (2 segments). 

At the local level, Saint‑Laurent also carried out sidewalk reconstruction on more than 15 segments, as well as work in several alleyways. The year was also marked by significant investments in public lighting and electrification, as well as major park projects. 

All of these initiatives are part of an approach focused on asset maintenance and on improving safety, mobility and quality of life.
