Gabriel Schwartz’s new project, titled Folk-Bossa, is based on the idea of fusing folk music and bossa nova. The desire to explore folk music is an attempt to bridge the cultures of Brazil and North America. The trio invites the audience on a journey through the traditional culture found in the repertoire of Brazilian, French-language, and English-language songs. A sonic journey that invites contemplation, at times melancholic, at times lighthearted. Gabriel Schwartz plays with rare elegance. Dazzling!
