Current situation: RESPONSE LEVEL 2 activated

As of May 1, 2025 : The special response plan (Plan particulier d’intervention) of the city’s public security centre (Centre de sécurité civile de Montréal) has moved into its RESPONSE LEVEL 2. The borough and the city have actively mobilized their resources to roll out protection measures on site, as well as to ensure the safety of vulnerable areas and public infrastructures.

Dikes installed in at-risk areas

The borough’s public works crews have already installed dikes on Rue Notre-Dame-des-Anges, Rue Crevier and Rue Cousineau. Other dikes are currently being installed, namely on Rue Olivier, Rue Jasmin, Rue Leblanc and Rue du Ruisseau.

The borough is preparing to distribute sandbags to waterfront residents. However, the current situation does not require such measures to be taken at this time. Further communication will follow, should sandbag distribution become necessary.
