Tourist Accommodations in Lachine
Would you like to rent out your home or other accommodations to tourists? Is this permitted? What are the rules? The answer is simple: short-term tourist rentals are prohibited in Lachine.
This rule applies to primary or secondary residences (and parts thereof) offered for rent for less than 31 days.
It is also prohibited to open a bed and breakfast or any other new tourist establishment. Hotels, motels or inns already in operation on borough of Lachine territory are not subject to this zoning by-law, which is intended to safeguard the supply of accommodations available to meet the needs of the population.
