Register for an Accès Loisirs activity free of charge

Last updated May 6, 2026

In some Montréal boroughs, thanks to the Accès-Loisirs program, low-income residents can register free of charge for sports and arts activities.

Activities for every age and lifestyle

The Accès-loisirs program offers a wide variety of sports, arts, cultural and fitness activities suitable for all ages and skill levels.

The selection of activities may vary from one registration period to the next.

How does it work?

The program is open to residents of Montreal.

For eligibility criteria, see the “Borough” section below.

Registration dates and procedures vary by borough, and some boroughs do not participate in the program.

Income thresholds

To be eligible, your family income before taxes must be lower than Statistics Canada’s low-income threshold. The threshold depends on the number of people in your family.

  • $31,906 (one person)
  • $39,721 (two people)
  • $48,832 (three people)
  • $59,288 (four people)
  • $67,244 (five people)
  • $75,839 (six people)
  • $84,436 (seven or more people)

Registration

You must register in person on the specific dates listed in the section for your borough below.

Crowds may vary from one location to another on registration days.

Number of spaces

Each borough works with local organizations, which offer a limited number of free spaces based on their capacity.

These spaces are generally confirmed shortly before the Accès-Loisirs registration period, and are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
