In some of Montréal’s boroughs, people with low incomes can register for sports and arts activities free of charge.

The Accès-Loisirs program gives people with low incomes the chance to register for recreational activities free of charge. This program is for children, adults and seniors in Ahuntsic-Cartiville, Lachine, Le Sud-Ouest, Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie and Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension.

Activities are part of the schedule of events in borough recreational centres, or borough organizations, and registration takes place on site. It is not possible to find out in advance which activities are available.

To be eligible, your family income before taxes must be lower than Statistics Canada’s low-income threshold. The threshold depends on the number of people in your family.

  • $29,380 (one person)
  • $36,576 (two people)
  • $44,966 (three people)
  • $54,594 (four people)
  • $61,920 (five people)
  • $69,835 (six people)
  • $77,751 (seven or more people)
