Report damages caused by sidewalk repairs

Have you observed damage to your hedges, lawn, fence or other private property following repairs carried out on the sidewalk? Learn how to report the damage to your borough.

Sidewalk repairs can cause damage to property bordering the sidewalk. The damage can concern the hedges, fence or lawn on your property.

The borough, contractor or public utility responsible for carrying out the work is required to leave the property in its original condition after their work is completed or compensate you if it is not possible to repair the damaged property.

When reporting the damage observed, it is important to identify the borough, contractor or public utility responsible for carrying out the work.
