As part of energy-efficiency and roof-improvement projects at the Centre du Plateau, the borough had planned to close the swimming pool from December 2025 to April 2026 for the replacement of the ventilation units and the dehumidifier.

However, analyses conducted on the pools revealed the need for further inspections to establish a comprehensive assessment of the facilities' condition. As these inspections uncovered damage to the pool basin and its structure, the Plateau borough is now required to extend the closure of the Centre du Plateau swimming pool for an indefinite period.

The borough is aware of the impact this service interruption may have on users. We are committed to promptly informing the public as soon as new information becomes available.

To compensate for the pool’s closure, the schedule for open swim sessions and swimming lessons has been expanded at the borough’s other indoor swimming pools:

• Schubert Pool
• YMCA du Parc Pool (free swim periods available to all Montreal residents)
