Find a community composting site
Would you like to compost your food waste but you are not eligible for the compost pick-up service (brown bin)? In some neighbourhoods, community compost bins are available. Find out how to locate them.
Three Montréal boroughs offer community compost sites for residents not eligible for the food waste or organic waste collection services
- Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce
- Le Plateau-Mont-Royal
- Ville-Marie
Contact your local éco-quartier if you want to use one of these compost bins.
