To have residual pressure tests conducted on a fire hydrant or to identify the source of a leak on public property, you must first apply for a temporary use permit for a fire hydrant.
To do so, please complete the form below and pay the fee.
Municipal employees are in charge of operating fire hydrants during tests.
There are no residual pressure tests between November 15 and April 15 because when there is ice on the ground, they could compromise pedestrians’ safety.

Upon receipt of the form and the payment, an instruction sheet will be provided to you and you will need to contact the Section de l’aqueduc to make an appointment for the test. Municipal employees are in charge of operating fire hydrants during tests. You can find all the information on the instruction sheet.
No permits are issued between November 2 and March 31.
