Request a household garbage bin
Bins for household waste are only provided in a few boroughs, and sometimes only at certain addresses. See if you qualify and find out how to get one.
Dark grey bins are used for household waste collections. If the city does not provide a bin for your address, find out which type of container you can use instead.
Important: If you need a new garbage bin to replace a broken one, check first if your bin can be repaired.
