Get details about recycling collections

  • Recyclables: Cardboard, paper, plastic, glass and metal

Collection schedules, accepted materials, materials that are not accepted and types of bins that are allowed. Find out how to put out recyclables according to standards.

The collection and processing of recyclable materials helps to reduce waste and to preserve the environment.

This collection, which is available everywhere in Montréal in single-stream mode, allows you to place all your materials (paper, cardboard, plastics, metals, glass) in a single container to be transported and processed at the sorting centre.

No recyclable materials should be put in the garbage. Put them out for the recyclable materials collection or you could be fined.

Three types of items are accepted in the recycling collection:

  1. Wrappers
  2. Containers
  3. Printed material and newspapers

For example, plastic forks cannot be recycled; they must be landfilled. Keep it in mind when shopping.
