Get details about recycling collections

Collection schedules, accepted materials, materials that are not accepted and types of bins that are allowed. Find out how to put out recyclables according to standards.

This collection, which is available everywhere in Montréal in single-stream mode, allows you to place all your materials in a single container to be transported and processed at the sorting centre.

You can recycle:

  • Paper, cardboard, metal or glass containers that are clean and empty
  • Paper, cardboard or plastic wrappers that are not soiled
  • Paper printed materials
  • Newspapers

Other objects or waste made of paper, cardboard, plastic, metal or glass are not accepted for recycling.

For example, plastic forks are not wrappers or containers. They will not be recycled and must be landfilled.
