Measures to get drivers to slow down, such as curb extensions, are used on certain streets.

If you believe motorists drive too fast on your street, please contact 311.

Residents who would like to get speed meter records for certain streets can submit a request using this form (in French).

Steps

  • Our teams will install meter plates on the road. Because these devices cannot be installed in winter, speeds cannot be checked during that period.
  • Depending on the results, your request will be accepted or refused. It may take several weeks before you receive a response.
  • If your request is accepted, our teams will decide on traffic mitigation measure(s), such as marking the road, markers in the middle of the road, speed displays, bike path bollards, etc.

Once the measures are in place, if the speed problems persist, we may work with police to implement radar operations.
