Pre-assessment
Our team will conduct a pre-assessment of changes to signage that involve:
- Adding a compulsory stop sign
- Adding a pedestrian passageway
- Changing the traffic direction of a street
- Speed or transit issues on a street
- A new street design
This pre-assessment is based on criteria including the Ministère des transports du Québec (MTQ)’s standards and the Vision Zero plan (zero deaths and serious accidents).
Traffic committee
Our team’s recommendations will then be submitted to the traffic committee, which will decide whether to approve the change.
Due to a high volume of requests, you must wait two years after your signage change request has been evaluated to propose a new change involving the same topic.
Implementation time
Depending on the weather.
