Get a residents-only parking sticker

Last updated April 27, 2022
RelatedParking stickers

Do you live on a street where parking is difficult? Would you like to get a sticker to use a residents-only parking zone? Learn what you need to do to obtain a residents-only parking  sticker.

You are required to obtain a parking sticker from your borough in order to park your vehicle in reserved zones near your home.

To apply for this sticker, your home must be located in the sector’s reserved parking zone and you must be the primary driver of the vehicle.

If in addition to the first sticker, a second sticker for another vehicle at your address is needed (for example, if a family member or roommate also has a car), you will need to apply for an additional sticker, for which there is a higher fee.

Stickers are transferable from one vehicle to another as long as the primary driver remains the same.

You can transfer the sticker from your old vehicle to your new one.

However, if you are the primary driver of two vehicles over the same period, you can only have one parking sticker during this period.
