Required documents

You must show the following supporting documents in order to replace your parking permit, depending on your situation.

If your permit is lost or damaged:

  • ID

If you change your car:

  • new registration certificate
  • excerpt from the insurance contract with your address on it, designating you as the principal driver

and

  • transfer document from the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) if you sell or scrap your vehicle or if your licence plate number changes

or

  • document from the dealership showing the vehicle trade-in if you exchange it

or

  • existing permit

You must show the following supporting documents in order to replace your parking permit, depending on your situation.

If you lose your permit or if it is stolen:

  • ID
  • police report or reference number if your permit is stolen or damaged

If your permit is damaged:

  • ID
  • damaged permit

If you change your car:

  • New certificate of registration
  • Insurance certificate showing your name and address

or an extract from the insurance contract designating you as the primary driver (if the insurance certificate is not in your name) that shows the address for which you are insured. 

  • One document from among the following:
    • Old parking sticker
    • Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) transfer document if you sold or scrapped your vehicle, or if you changed license plate numbers
