Applying for a vendor permit at the Sunday tam-tams

Want to occupy a sales space during the Sunday tam-tams at Parc du Mont-Royal? Montréal residents aged 16 or older may apply for a free permit. Here is what you need to know.

Terms and conditions

  • The permit is free of charge. Its sale or transfer is prohibited.
  • The permit is granted for one person per season.
  • The permit holder must show the permit, valid identification and a proof of address at all times (print or digital copies).
  • The permit holder must remain present onsite at all times.
  • Sales are only authorized within the allocated perimeter, as marked on the ground.
  • A single piece of furniture is allowed per slot and it must be lower than 3 feet from the ground.
  • The permit holder must comply with the park by-law (RCG 10-016) and sales permit regulations.
  • Disrespectful behaviour among participants will not be tolerated.

People who do not follow the rules may lose their permit and receive a statement of offence.

Unauthorized sales

The sale of food products or drinks, services (hairdressing, massage, temporary tattoos, henna, make-up, etc.), electronic products and drugs is not allowed.

Any form of promotion (distribution of flyers, samples) for an organization, a product or a business is not allowed.

Required documents

Your application must include one proof of identification and one proof of address.

  • Birth certificate in French or in English showing your date and place of birth
  • Proof of identity and residence issued by Doctors of the World
  • Citizenship card
  • Permanent resident card
  • Québec health insurance card
  • Passport in French or in English showing your date and place of birth
  • Driver’s license
  • Proof of identity and residence issued by Doctors of the World
  • Notice of assessment from Revenu Québec or the Canada Revenue Agency
  • Québec health insurance card renewal notice
  • Québec driver’s license renewal notice
  • Accès Montréal card
  • Home insurance certificate or statement that is less than 1 year old
  • School or municipal tax account
  • Bill from a public utility (electricity, telephone, gas or cable provider) that is less than 3 months old
  • Bill from an educational institution that is less than 3 months old
  • Driver’s license
  • Record of Employment Insurance
  • Monthly statement from a credit or financial institution that is less than 3 months old
