Description
In this workshop, children will discover and explore musical improvisation—the art of creating music spontaneously, without prior preparation. Using small percussion instruments and their voices, they’ll learn concepts that make songwriting easier, such as “call and response” and expressing emotions through music. They’ll also be introduced to the structure of a song and its different parts (verses, chorus, bridge). Finally, the group will put their new skills into practice by writing a song together.
Bilingual. Ages 8–12.
