A unique musical journey that takes the viewer along the roads of the great castles of the Middle Ages and transports them to the heart of the beautiful seigneuries of New France. An invitation to share the sweet songs and joyful dance tunes of the minstrels, voyageurs, and rowers of yesteryear.
Through historical anecdotes, multi-instrumentalist Philippe Gélinas offers an interactive artistic activity centered around unusual instruments and surprising music that enlivened people’s lives over 400 years ago!
A unique opportunity for everyone to discover the original sounds of period instruments: bowed fiddle, bagpipes, cromorne, lute, cittern, dulcimer, wooden flutes, hurdy-gurdy, violin, etc.
