Canada Day 2025: A Record-Breaking Crowd and an Unforgettable Celebration
The Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro extends a heartfelt thank you to all the residents who came out in large numbers to celebrate Canada Day 2025 in a festive, inclusive, and high-energy atmosphere.
July 1 will be remembered for its iconic morning parade, thrilling rides at the “Fun Show,” delicious food trucks, an electrifying performance by local pride Simple Plan, and a spectacular fireworks finale. In front of a record-breaking crowd of over 20 000 people, the internationally acclaimed musicians—who grew up in Pierrefonds-Roxboro—delivered a free, unforgettable concert filled with energy, nostalgia, and Canadian pride.
“What an incredible day for our borough! From early morning, hundreds of families joined us for our festive and colourful parade. In the evening, we came together to sing and dance with an iconic band that, despite their global success, has never forgotten their roots. Seeing the crowd united under the fireworks was simply magical. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a highlight of our summer 2025,” said Dimitrios (Jim) Beis, Mayor of Pierrefonds-Roxboro.
This event’s success was made possible thanks to the exceptional involvement of many partners. The Borough wishes to recognize the municipal team, all participating organizations, the Simple Plan production crew, our volunteers, and the entire staff who worked tirelessly to deliver a well-organized and vibrant celebration.
Most of all, thank you to the thousands of residents who showed up and brought this collective celebration to life with their good vibes, energy, and infectious enthusiasm!
Pierrefonds-Roxboro is proud to have once again been the heart of a major community celebration where all generations came together to celebrate our Canadian identity in a spirit of solidarity, music, and joy.
