The Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro has made changes to on-street parking regulations in the former City of Roxboro and streets surrounding REM stations, which will come into effect this fall. Learn more it.

With the arrival of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) and the upcoming opening of the Maison des aînés, the Borough has adjusted street parking regulations to preserve the peace and quiet in your neighborhood, reduce transit parking related to REM users and visitors, and promote better access for residents.

These measures were recommended by a specialized firm, analyzed by the Pierrefonds-Roxboro Traffic Committee, composed of citizen representatives, the SPVM, and elected officials, and adopted by the borough council.Installation de nouvelles signalisations

All existing on-street parking restrictions will be removed to make way for new signage, only in the targeted areas.

Only addresses affected by changes directly on their street will receive a paper notice delivered directly to their home. Notices to residents will be distributed from the end of September until mid-October. The planned changes to parking on your street will be listed on this notice.

What will change

Here are some examples of changes to street regulations that could now be implemented, depending on each street:

  • Street parking authorized for a maximum of 4 consecutive hours (between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.)
  • Alternate parking, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on one side of the street and from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. on the opposite side.
  • Removal of resident-only street parking (SRRR) in sector 163
  • Addition of SRRR stickers in sector 304

To give residents time to adjust their habits, the Agence de mobilité et de stationnement de Montréal will gradually implement the new regulations over a four-week period in October.
