Starting November 3, 2025, there will be changes to recycling collection days in certain sectors of Lachine. Here is what you need to know.

Recycling collection contracts are renewed from time to time by Ville de Montréal. Starting in November, the pick-up of recyclable materials from your recycling bins may change, depending on where you live.

When to put out your bins

You may put out your bins any time after 7 p.m. the night before the collection day or before 7 a.m. on the day of the collection.

Please note:

  • Bins containing black bags or non-recyclable materials will not be emptied.
  • See-through bags are acceptable if placed in the recycling bin.

The collection days remain unchanged for the other types of waste:

  • Garbage and upholstered bulky items: Wednesdays, for all sectors
  • Organic waste: Thursdays, for all sectors
  • Non-upholstered bulky items: bi-monthly collection. Consult Info-collectes to find out the collection dates for your address.
