Redevelopment of the pedestrian and cycle path in Parc Paquin
Recent renovation work at Parc Paquin, in Pierrefonds-Roxboro, has helped to consolidate the greening of Parcours riverain Gouin, a 15 km pedestrian and cycle path in the north of the Island of Montreal.
A result of the first edition of the city’s participatory budget, the greening of Parcours riverain Gouin required the involvement of the five boroughs crossed by boulevard Gouin.
Out of a total investment of $3 million, $520,000 was allocated to the renovation of Parc Paquin.
The park now has a rest area for cyclists and pedestrians, asphalt and concrete pathways, a picnic area and new park furniture.
Work began on September 11, 2024, and will be completed in November 2025.
