The Martin-Brodeur arena, located in the heart of the Saint-Léonard sports complex, is a facility designed to host various sports on ice during the winter and on the slab in the summer. The players’ changing rooms and the mezzanine for activities are well-liked.

Description

It is easy to access and offers free periods for hockey and recreational skating.

Public health measures to be respected

  • A vaccination passport is required of each participant age 13 or older. Proof of vaccination in the form of a QR code can be presented in three ways: from the VaxiCode app, as a PDF on a mobile device, or in paper format.
  • A photo ID card must also be provided for participants between the ages of 16 and 74. The ID card must be issued by a government department, agency or educational institution (driver’s license, health card, passport, student card, etc.) 
  • For participants age 75 or older, a proof of identity without photo is accepted.
  • The stands are accessible to accompanying parents (maximum of one parent per child). The vaccination passport is not mandatory for people in the stands. Wearing a mask is mandatory. The number of places is limited.
  • A mask must be worn at all times inside the arena by all participants age eight or older, except when practicing an activity on the ice surface.
  • Children ages eight or under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • The premises are supervised during operating hours.

Recreational skating (for everyone)

  • A maximum of 25 participants at a time is allowed.
  • Registration required on Loisirs Montréal.  Time slots are available 24 hours before the activity.
  • The Saint-Léonard access card is mandatory.

Recreational skating (40+)

  • A maximum of 25 participants at a time is allowed.
  • No reservation necessary

Recreational skating rules

  • Wearing a helmet and gloves is strongly recommended
  • No one will be admitted without skates
  • No equipment loans will be made  
  • It is forbidden to skate backwards and to play games that represent a danger, such as running or pushing
  • Figure skating, hockey and speed skating elements are not permitted
  • Participants must arrive five minutes before the start of the activities
  • Doors will be locked five minutes after the start of the activity
  • It is important to follow the instructions given by the supervisor.

Vaccination clinic

Access to the vaccination clinic is via Rue des Galets. The clinic is located on the mezzanine of the arena.

The clinic will close permanently on Friday, October 22, 2021, at 6 p.m.
