The Web Summit is the largest technology conference in Europe. It will host more than 70,000 participants and nearly 1,000 representatives of investment companies. The summit includes exhibitions, business and networking (B2B) meetings and conferences on current issues in the digital world.

The Québec mission is organized by the city, Investissement Québec International, Startup Montréal and Montréal International. It aims to support the marketing efforts of innovative new companies in Montréal and Québec and attract new investments.

Selected companies will benefit from the following services: 

• Your business being displayed in the Web Summit app search profile
• Access to the event networking application
• The opportunity to apply for high-level mentoring, meetings with investment firms and lightning business pitch sessions
• Support and schedule of activities during the mission

Depending on the stage of growth of your business, you will also enjoy 1 of the following 2 packages: 

1. Alpha Package

Targeted companies: Companies with less than $1 million USD in funding

Cost per company: $300

Included:

• A pass for 3 people for the entire event
• 1 day of exposure (counter that is 1 metre wide)

2. Beta Package

Targeted companies: Companies with between $1 and $5 million USD in funding 

Cost per company: $450

Included:

• A pass for 4 people for the entire event
• 1 day of exposure (counter that is 1 metre wide)

Not included in the 2 packages 

• Airline tickets, accommodation and meals are not provided
• Each participating company is responsible for booking its flights and hotels

To qualify for the assignment, your company must:

• Be legally incorporated and registered in the Registre des entreprises du Québec
• Be less than 5 years old
• Have a Web site 
• Employ a full-time team
• Have developed an innovative solution or product that is ready to be marketed
• Have secured a maximum of $5 million USD in funding

Not eligible

• Consulting, Web development and marketing firms
• Companies associated with a larger organization or other subsidiary
• Companies already registered for the 2023 event, according to Web Summit criteria

Support for mobility

Business owners between the ages of 18 and 35 that would like to gain new expertise and upgrade their business background by participating in the Web Summit can apply to the  Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec for financial support.

The deadline for submitting applications has passed. 

Selection will be based on the potential of the company and the anticipated benefits of its participation in the event.

Selected companies will be unveiled in August 2023.
