Description

This program offers funding for projects that aim to facilitate social cohabitation related to visible homelessness in Montréal.

Eligibility criteria

The organization must be: 

  • Designated as a non-profit under Québec law for at least two years. 
  • Be a current registrant of the Registraire des entreprises du Québec.
  • Show its involvement with local associations in the area where it is located.
  • Have expertise that is relevant to the project being submitted.

Eligible projects

Projects must meet at least one of the following objectives:

1- Promote social cohabitation within the context of homelessness

2- Raise public awareness of issues around homelessness

Special attention is given to awareness-raising projects for different faces of homelessness, including women, Indigenous peoples, the LGBTQ2+ community, young people, racialized people and people with mental health issues. 

The details of eligible projects can be found in the reference framework below.

Criteria for inclusion

The projects must meet the following criteria for inclusion: 

  • Demonstrate positive impacts within various target populations such as housed and unhoused people and groups of merchants, and promote bringing these populations closer together.
  • Be launched in compliance with all laws and regulations, namely those involving occupancy of public spaces. Universal accessibility must be taken into consideration. 
  • Show mastery of gender-differentiated analysis (ADS+) and various issues and profiles of homelessness.

Project delivery

Activities that receive funding must be completed no later than March 31, 2023.

Submit an application

You have until 11:55 p.m. May 2, 2022, to submit a project. Just log in to the city’s subsidy management platform (in French) and choose “Appel de projets ouvert - Cohabitation sociale et sensibilisation à l’itinérance 2022.” (Open call for projects - Social cohabitation and homelessness awareness 2022).
