Online sales guidance for merchants

Selling online is more important than ever. Through a city program, merchants can obtain personalized guidance and training from electronic marketing advisors to help them develop an action plan, choose providers and set up an online store.

Description

Are you a merchant running a business on the island of Montréal ? Through this program, you can receive training and a personalized follow-up to speed up your digitization process. Under an agreement between the city and the Cégep André-Laurendeau, more than 96 Montréal businesses can get the guidance and training they need.



This program offers you :

  • A personalized, results-oriented process
  • Ten hours of training in e-commerce 
  • A personalized action plan
  • Ten hours of guidance provided by an e-commerce expert to help you implement your action plan
  • Advice clinic sessions where you can get answers to your questions 
  • Access to an electronic platform where you can discuss your project with peers

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet all of the conditions below :

  • Be a merchant with a business in Montréal
  • Offer products or services to clients
  • Be legally incorporated in Québec or Canada
  • Be ready to implement or consolidate an e-sales solution
  • Have basic computer skills (use of a computer, e-mail, the Internet)

Training

The training (in French) covers a variety of themes, such as the choice of an e-commerce platform, electronic strategies to build customer loyalty, social media as a Web marketing tool and the in-store digital experience.

Training is offered in French. Costs related to platforms or purchasing transactional materials are not covered by the program.
