Description
Suspension of New Applications
The submission period for financial contribution requests ended on October 31, 2025. A new submission timeline will be announced in early 2026.
Projects can take the form of training, support, business networking or economic events.
Objective
The objective is to promote the strategic priorities of the 2030 Economic Plan:
- Promote the development of a green economy
- Improve access to and participation in economic life
- Strengthen Montreal’s attractiveness and distinctive positioning locally, nationally and internationally
- Revitalize economic and commercial hubs undergoing transformation
Eligibility
Eligible organizations
- Be a not-for-profit organization under Part III of the Québec Companies Act or the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act
or
- Be an eligible non-profit solidarity cooperative within the meaning of the Québec Municipal Powers Act
- Carry out an assignment related to the project for which the application is being submitted
- Demonstrate sound financial and governance practices
Eligible Projects
- Address one of the 4 priorities of the 2030 Economic Plan
- Be for a maximum duration of 3 years
- Take place on the island of Montréal
- Demonstrate a defining and/or innovative character that sets it apart from what Montréal already has to offer
- Have a direct impact on Montréal’s economic ecosystem or the economic vitality of the city
- No applications for other financial assistance (calls for projects or programs) from the Service de développement économique
Submit your application
- Refer to the Guide for Applicant Organizations (in French) to see all eligibility criteria.
- Complete the online application form and submit the following documents in digital format:
- Letters patent, or memorandum of association if the organization is a trust
- A list of the organization’s board members and their functions as well as a list of people assigned to the project and their roles (download the template - in French)
- Board resolution authorizing the organization’s representative to submit an application for financial assistance and undertake all procedures related to the application.
- Financial statements for the past year (approved and adopted at a general meeting or approved by the board).
- A detailed project budget (download the template - in French)
- A summary of the objectives and planned actions (download the template - in French)
- Letters of agreement with contributing partners to the project, if applicable
- If necessary, e-mail us an additional document to present your project (business plan, detailed planning, etc.).
