Summer cultural programming

Hors les murs

Throughout the summer, culture is making appearances at different parks in the borough as part of the Hors les murs program. This program includes cultural events presented outside of our facilities. A plethora of original events are on offer, like film screenings, shows, pop-up performances, workshops, and much more. See below to make sure you don’t miss out.

Discover public art and murals

Get out there and enjoy the public art in Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Greater Montreal by means of the many tours and podcasts available. And take a moment to enjoy the outdoor exhibitions at Promenade Jean-Brillant.

Cultural Venues

The borough has two cultural centres: the Maison de la culture de Côte-des-Neiges and the Maison de la culture de Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, which has two separate locations, Botrel and Monkland. They offer performance venues and various exhibition halls that are accessible free of charge. They host film screenings, concerts, visual art, workshops and much more. To view the cultural activities and events calendar:

The Maison de la culture de Côte-des-Neiges, located next to the Côte-des-Neiges library, contains a performance hall, three exhibition halls and a green roof with a relaxation area accessible to all, with a unique view of Saint Joseph’s Oratory and the Roger-Gaudry Tower at the Université de Montréal campus. It’s the perfect place to relax and read a good book.

Housed in what was once a police station, the Maison de la culture de Notre-Dame-de-Grâce - Botrel has a performance hall and two exhibition halls. The Notre-Dame-de-Grâce library is also found in the same building.

The Côte-des-Neiges library has undergone a facelift thanks to  the renovation work completed in the past year. The building and services have been improved and modernized. Check out the changes and while you’re at it, take the opportunity to visit the neighbouring Maison de la culture de Côte-des-Neiges.

The Notre-Dame-de-Grâce library is officially open for business, after undergoing some improvements. You will be able to see a self-service return robot installed in the heart of the building and many other new features. In the same building, you can also visit the Maison de la culture Notre-Dame-de-Grâce - Botrel.

Located in the Centre culturel de Notre-Dame-de-Grâce next to the Maison de la culture Notre-Dame-de-Grâce - Monkland, the Benny library benefits from state-of-the-art facilities offering self-service access to hundreds of video games, films, newspapers and comics, as well as a large collection of e-books, CDs and DVDs.
