List of food and community resources in VSP
The list below presents some of the services being offered in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension.
Villeray District
The CDC Solidarités Villeray has produced a guide to resources in the Villeray district in 2021. This tool was designed to identify and bring together the various resources in the neighborhood that help people who may encounter difficulties at some point.
Divided into several main themes, the guide presents more than 40 community and public organizations that respond to various needs. A map of the locations of organizations and institutions is provided at the end of the guide.
What’s more, the guide is available in seven languages: English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Creole, Vietnamese and Italian.
Saint-Michel district
Ressources offered in the neighborhood
Vivre Saint-Michel en Santé (in French) has developed a map of community resources along with various documents for the district. Saint-Michel offers residents a wide range of resources in the areas of culture, sports, recreation, health, social support, education and socio-professional integration.

Centre Génération Emploi
An employment counselling centre that mainly assists people from immigrant, cultural communities and visible minorities to prepare, integrate and maintain employment or to pursue orientation or reorientation in career management, with an intercultural approach. Services are free and bilingual (French and English), with the capacity to serve in Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Wolof and Persian.
Services maintained at a distance or in person, as needed, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Temporary shelter for unhoused people
The basement of Notre-Dame-du-Saint-Rosaire Church is being used as a shelter for homeless people this winter. Over 40 beds are available until March 31, 2022. This valuable resource aims to offer the most vulnerable people in the heart of Montréal a safe place to eat, socialize, rest and use bathroom facilities.
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 a.m. the next day
Saturday and Sunday, 5 p.m. to 8 a.m the next day
