What is the Youth Council?
The Youth Council represents the interests of people aged 16 to 28. It provides a forum for discussion and reflection on issues that matter to young people, such as the environment, sports and leisure, urban planning, transport, culture and much more!

Why get involved?
- To provide opinions and advice to the borough mayor and the executive committee
- To become a spokesperson and representative for young people’s concerns
- To develop relationships and partnerships with organisations and various groups to gather their views and expertise
- To commission studies relating to the concerns raised by the Youth Council
- To organize events, training sessions, symposiums or any other activity related to the mission of the Pierrefonds-Roxboro Youth Council

- Members attended a presentation by Concertation Montréal on the role and responsibilities of the Youth Council; the code of internal management; the importance of ethical communications; and how the borough operates versus the central city.

Admission criteria
- Be interested in getting involved collectively for the youth of Pierrefonds-Roxboro
- Aged between 16 and 28
- Must be a resident of the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro
- The candidate may not be a member of the Conseil jeunesse de Montréal, the Forum Jeunesse de l’île de Montréal or the executive of a municipal political party.
- Must be available to attend Youth Council meetings*
*Members meet approximately 6 times a year.
